How to read this. These are simplified estimates to show the shape of the decision, not a filed tax return. The headroom tool uses 2026 federal brackets (lowest rate 14% up to $58,523; basic personal amount $16,452) — your provincial tax applies on top, so your true low-bracket room may differ a little. The OAS line ($95,323) and maximum OAS (~$8,914/yr for ages 65–74) are 2026 figures and are indexed every year. CPP/OAS delay uses the standard adjustment factors (CPP −0.6%/mo early, +0.7%/mo late; OAS +0.6%/mo late).
